Hiring
What is the minimum hire period?
Ask when you enquire. Minimums vary by machine class, and a day rate on a machine that takes half a day to float each way is rarely the cheapest way to do a short job.
Do you deliver to site?
Most classes can be delivered and collected. Tell us the site access, the ground conditions and any overhead restrictions, and we will confirm what can get in.
Can I hire a machine with an operator?
For some classes, yes. Each machine page says whether that class is available operated. Say which you want when you enquire, because it changes the rate.

Who is responsible for fuel?
Agree it when the hire is booked. It is normally one of two arrangements: the machine goes out full and comes back full, or fuel is supplied and charged. Both are fine, but it should be written down.
What happens if the machine breaks down?
Call the yard. A breakdown that is not down to misuse is ours to fix, and the hire does not run while the machine is out of action.
What if the job runs longer than planned?
Tell us as early as you can. Extending is usually straightforward if the machine is not already booked out, and early notice is what makes that possible.
